# Enter Inventory Beginning Balances

To enter beginning balances for your inventory items quantities and dollar amounts, complete the following:

1. Get an Inventory Trial Balance report from your previous accounting system, which you wish to transfer.
2. Access the Item Adjustments transaction from the Financial\Inventory menu and start a New Item Adjustment.
3. Enter the quantity and dollar amount for each item in the Item Adjustment application.
4. Print an Inventory Trial Balance report and compare it to the report from your previous accounting system.
